What this site knows about you.
Very little. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and loads nothing from anyone else’s servers.
Who we are
This website is run by Millwright Pty Ltd (ABN 85 697 462 463), on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. “We” and “us” here mean the company.
This policy covers this website and the email you send us. Kaolin, our booking product, has its own privacy policy for the businesses and clients who use it.
When you visit
The site is served by Cloudflare, from whichever of its data centres is nearest you, which may be outside Australia. Like any web server, it receives the details your browser sends with every request: your IP address, the page asked for, your browser’s name and version, the page that linked you here, and your preferred language. It uses them to answer the request. We keep no log of them.
To count visits, we record a few facts about each page you view: the date, the page (without anything after a “?” in its address), the website that linked you here, your country, and the name of the search engine or other crawler, if one asked for the page. Your IP address and browser are never written down. Instead, the first 24 bits of an IPv4 address (or the first 48 bits of an IPv6 address), your browser and the date are combined into a short code, and only the code is kept. It lets us count each visitor once a day, and it changes every day, so one day’s visit can’t be matched with the next.
Cloudflare keeps these records for us and deletes each one after 3 months. No one else sees them, and the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts.
When you email us
We receive your email address, your name if your email includes it, and whatever you write. Our email is provided by Proton AG, a Swiss company, so your message is held on its servers.
We use what you send only to reply and to keep a record of our conversation. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t share or sell your details. Ask us to delete your messages and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them, as it does for tax records.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email gday@millwrightstudio.com. We aim to reply within one business day.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, at oaic.gov.au.
